Ingredients

  • 200 g Adzuki Beans
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the adzuki beans under cold water.
  2. Place beans in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. Refill the pot with fresh water and bring to a boil again. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are soft.
  4. Drain the beans and return to the pot. Add sugar and a pinch of salt. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool. Mash or blend to desired consistency.
