Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 4 units Egg yolks

Instructions 

  1. Toast the black sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Blend the toasted sesame seeds into a fine paste.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the milk and cream until just about to boil.
  5. Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  6. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
  7. Stir in the black sesame paste until well combined.
  8. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  9. Churn the chilled mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
