Ingredients 

Burger Patties

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Mirin
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese

Burger Assembly

  • 4 buns Burger Buns
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup Tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup Onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Japanese Mayonnaise

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soy sauce, mirin, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well.
  2. 2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
  3. 3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. 5. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. 6. Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. 7. Assemble the burgers by placing the lettuce, tomato, onion, and the grilled patty with melted cheese on the buns. Top with Japanese mayonnaise.
