Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Japanese short-grain rice
  • 2.5 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
  3. Drain the rice and add it to the clay pot.
  4. Add 2.5 cups of water, soy sauce, salt, and sesame oil to the pot.
  5. Cover the pot and cook over medium heat until it starts to boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
  7. Turn off the heat and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
