  • 1 inch fresh ginger root peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. 2. Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water.
  3. 3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Strain the tea into cups.
  5. 5. Add honey and lemon juice if desired. Stir well and serve hot.
