  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the herring fillets to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  4. 4. Pour the sauce over the herring in the pan and cook for another 5 minutes, basting occasionally.
  5. 5. Serve hot with steamed rice and vegetables.
