Bread Dough
- 300 g bread flour
- 40 g sugar
- 5 g salt
- 6 g instant yeast
- 200 ml warm milk
- 1 egg beaten
- 50 g unsalted butter softened
Cookie Dough
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g sugar
- 50 g unsalted butter softened
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Mix bread flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a bowl.
2. Add warm milk and beaten egg. Mix until combined.
3. Knead the dough until smooth. Add softened butter and knead until fully incorporated.
4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
5. For the cookie dough, cream butter and sugar together. Add beaten egg and vanilla extract.
6. Sift in flour and baking powder. Mix until combined.
7. Divide bread dough into 8 pieces. Shape into balls.
8. Roll out cookie dough and wrap around each bread dough ball.
9. Score the top of each ball with a knife to create a crisscross pattern.
10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 12-15 minutes.
