Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork Shoulder
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cup Mirin
  • ¼ cup Sake
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. 2. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it.
  3. 3. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  4. 4. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  5. 5. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.
  6. 6. Serve hot with rice or buns.
