Japanese Red Bean Soup (Zenzai/Shiruko) Recipe
A traditional Japanese dessert soup made with sweet red beans and often served with mochi.

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Adzuki beans
- 4 cups Water
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 4 pieces Mochi optional
Rinse the adzuki beans under cold water.
In a pot, add the beans and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add sugar and a pinch of salt. Stir well and cook for another 10 minutes.
Serve hot with mochi if desired.
