Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Sardines cleaned and gutted
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sake
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. 3. Place the sardines in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. 4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar.
  5. 5. Pour the sauce mixture over the sardines and cook for another 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  6. 6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
