Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups short-grain rice
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 1 sheet nori (seaweed), cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot, bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
  5. Once rice is cooked, let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork, then stir in the soy sauce mixture.
  7. Add nori pieces and sesame seeds, mix well.
