Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken Thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 bunch Green Onions cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cup Mirin
  • ¼ cup Sake
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar

Instructions 

  1. 1. Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Thread the chicken and green onions onto the skewers, alternating between the two.
  3. 3. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  4. 4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. 5. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the sauce until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
