Ingredients

  • ½ cup Soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Mirin
  • ¼ cup Sake
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar.
  2. 2. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. 3. Add honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well.
  4. 4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and let it cool. The sauce will thicken more as it cools.
