Instructions
1. Cut the tofu into 1-inch thick slices.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
3. Add the tofu slices and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic.
5. Pour the sauce over the tofu in the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6. Serve the tofu steaks hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
