Ingredients

  • 200 g ground pork
  • 100 g shrimp, peeled and deveined chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 20 pieces wonton wrappers

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, cornstarch, and minced garlic. Mix well.
  2. 2. Place a wonton wrapper in the palm of your hand. Add about a tablespoon of filling in the center. Gather the edges of the wrapper around the filling and gently squeeze to form a cup shape. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. 3. Arrange shumai in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for about 10 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. 4. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
