Ingredients 

Tempura Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup ice-cold water
  • 1 egg beaten

Vegetables and Seafood

  • 1 cup shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup assorted vegetables sliced (e.g., sweet potatoes, bell peppers, zucchini)

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, ice-cold water, and beaten egg. Mix lightly to create the tempura batter. Do not overmix.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Dip the shrimp and vegetables into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.
  4. Carefully place the battered shrimp and vegetables into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
