Hello from Yujin Izakaya!
Thanks for visiting our little corner of the internet. We’re always happy when fellow food lovers stop by. Whether you’re curious about a recipe, puzzled about an ingredient, or just want to say hi after trying our miso ramen, we’re here for it. We believe food connects people, and every message from you feels like a friendly wave from across the table.
Where We Are
We may be serving up Japanese flavors, but our home base is in sunny Hong Kong. It’s a place where old traditions meet modern vibes, kind of like our kitchen. If you’re nearby, passing through, or feel like sending a postcard (we frame the pretty ones), here’s our full address:
218 Changi Road, #03-00, 419737 Singapore
We don’t run a dine-in spot here—just lots of recipe testing, taste trials, and photo shoots—but it’s our cozy HQ where ideas simmer and flavors come to life.
Prefer a Chat?
Sometimes a quick chat is easier than typing it all out. If your question is urgent or you’d rather talk it through with a real person (not a robot), give us a ring:
Phone: +65 63484315
We’re usually available from 10 AM to 5 PM (Hong Kong time), Monday to Friday. If we don’t pick up, we’re probably chopping scallions or boiling soba—leave a voicemail and we’ll return your call.
Email Us Anytime
Our inbox is always open, just like a good izakaya on a Friday night. Pop us a message for anything from partnership ideas to “What can I use instead of mirin?” to feedback on our takoyaki recipe. Questions, thoughts, love notes, send them all.
Email: contact@yujinizakaya.com.sg
We aim to respond within 48 hours, usually faster unless something’s on fire (hopefully just our spicy mayo). Please check your spam folder if you don’t hear back in a few days. Tech gremlins love hiding good food mail.
Recipe Help & Cooking Questions
That’s our favorite kind of message. Did your tamagoyaki end up scrambled? Not sure if your karaage is golden enough? Curious why your rice turned sticky instead of fluffy? Tell us! We’ll do our best to guide you, cheer you on, and maybe even help prevent next-day kitchen disasters.
Attach a photo if you like, seeing your food helps us help you better.
Collaboration & Partnerships
We love teaming up with fellow flavor enthusiasts. Brands, chefs, content creators, or food stylists, if your work involves joy, seasonings, or storytelling, we’d love to hear what you’re thinking. From sponsored recipe posts to product reviews or hands-on events, we’re open to tasty ideas.
Just keep in mind: we don’t promote anything we wouldn’t actually use in our kitchen. Authenticity always comes first.
Found a Mistake?
Oops moments happen. If you spot a typo, incorrect temp, or our sushi vinegar ratio seems fishy, don’t hold back, drop us a note. Corrections help us keep everything sharp, balanced, and trustworthy. We’ll fix it, thank you in the credits, and keep things moving.
Media & Press
Members of the media, writers, bloggers, producers, we’re happy to chat. If you’re preparing a piece about Japanese home cooking, food blogs in Asia, or the art of izakaya dining, we’re available for interviews, quotes, or tasty backstory. Just send a note with your questions, deadline, and preferred style (casual, formal, quirky… we can do all three).
Lost in a Recipe?
If you’re halfway through making gyoza and wondering if your dough is too wet, don’t panic. We get those emails a lot. Our tips usually work even mid-cook. If you need a substitution, want to double the batch, or something’s off, get in touch. We want your food to turn out as tasty as it looked in your head.
Just Saying Hi?
Some folks just want to share that their teriyaki tofu turned out perfect. Those messages make our week. Seriously. Even better if someone in your home asked for seconds. We keep a little folder of sweet feedback for rainy days. Kindness goes a long way—thank you.
Accessibility Feedback
We want everyone to enjoy our recipes, stories, and photos. If something on the site isn’t working well with your screen reader, if the colors are too harsh, or if the font size is tough to read, tell us. We’ll adjust and make it better for everyone. You deserve a smooth, welcoming experience.
How Fast Do We Reply?
Usually within two working days. Sometimes quicker. We don’t outsource emails, so you’ll get a reply from someone who bakes, cooks, or eats what we post. If it takes longer, it’s probably because we’re in the kitchen testing new recipes, not ignoring your message.
Not an Email Person?
That’s okay too. Pick up the phone. Send a letter. Stick a Post-it on our door (we’ve had that happen). Communication matters. Every voice counts. Unless your message is about replacing wasabi with toothpaste, we don’t support that kind of chaos.
What We Don’t Offer Yet
At the moment, we don’t run a shop. No product sales, classes, or meal deliveries. We’re working on maybe offering cooking guides or digital recipe books down the road, but for now, Yujin Izakaya is all about shared recipes, kitchen joy, and food stories.
Your Feedback = Better Recipes
We tweak dishes all the time. When you tell us a recipe felt too salty, too bland, too tricky, or just right, that helps. We’re always learning. Sharing your experience (good or bad) helps others cook with more confidence too.
FAQ – Questions We Get A Lot
Q: Can I use soy sauce instead of tamari?
A: Most of the time, yes! Tamari is often gluten-free, but flavor-wise they’re close enough to swap in most recipes.
Q: What’s a good mirin substitute?
A: Mix rice vinegar with a little sugar. Not the same, but it gives a similar sweetness.
Q: Are your recipes beginner-friendly?
A: Yes! Many were written with new cooks in mind. We include step-by-step instructions and photos whenever possible.
Q: Do you offer cooking classes?
A: Not yet. But stay tuned. If we start offering any, our subscribers will be first to know.
Q: Where do you shop for ingredients?
A: Local Asian markets, Japanese grocers, and sometimes online. We list substitutes for hard-to-find items.
Q: Can I contribute a recipe?
A: We love guest features! Send us your idea, a bit about your recipe, and we’ll see if it’s a good fit.
Thanks again for dropping by Yujin Izakaya. Every message means someone out there cooked with us, smiled with us, or just felt like being part of our kitchen world. That’s why we do this. So reach out, we’d love to hear from you.
