  • 2 medium turnips peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup rice vinegar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 piece kombu optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Peel and slice the turnips thinly.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved.
  3. 3. Add the sliced turnips to the bowl and mix well.
  4. 4. Transfer the mixture to a jar and add the kombu if using.
  5. 5. Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
