Terms of Service
Welcome to Yujin Izakaya! Before you dig into all the tasty content we have to offer, we want to make sure everyone understands the rules that help us serve up a delightful experience for you. Here’s the fine print you need to know, easy to digest, no tricky business, just a simple breakdown of our Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website and accessing any recipes, blog posts, or other content provided on Yujin Izakaya, you agree to follow these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you can always stop visiting our site. That being said, we hope you'll stick around and enjoy everything we've cooked up.
Accessing or using the site in any way, even just scrolling through our homepage, means you accept our rules. We may update these terms once in a while, especially if our site grows or changes, so check in from time to time to stay up to date.
2. About Us
Yujin Izakaya is created by Haruka Taneda, someone who deeply misses late-night izakaya meals and cozy Japanese kitchens. Now living in Singapore, Haruka built this site to share traditional Japanese recipes anyone can make. You’ll find hearty bowls of ramen, sizzling skewers of yakitori, comforting onigiri, and much more.
Everything we share comes from a place of love, not just for the food itself, but for the traditions and stories behind each dish. We aim to create a welcoming space where cooking feels less intimidating and more joyful.
3. Content Usage
We love when people find inspiration in our recipes and content. Feel free to cook along, print out recipes for your fridge, or share links with friends who love Japanese food. But please remember that all text, images, videos, and designs on Yujin Izakaya are our original creations, unless otherwise credited.
No copying our content word-for-word on your own site or social channels. You can, however, share a snippet or image (with credit and a link back to us) if you’re featuring one of our recipes. Want to use something beyond that? Send us a message. We're friendly, and often happy to say yes, with permission.
4. User Responsibilities
Visiting this site means agreeing to keep things respectful, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Don’t post anything offensive, mean-spirited, or spammy. No trying to break into our servers, install malware, or mess with the site in ways that would make life harder for other users.
If you comment, please be kind. We welcome questions, feedback, and suggestions. We love it when folks share cooking stories or variations they’ve tried, just keep it nice and tasty. We reserve the right to remove comments that don’t vibe with the welcoming tone we work hard to create.
5. Account Registration
Some parts of Yujin Izakaya may offer you the option to sign up for an account or subscribe to a newsletter. If you choose to do so, you agree to provide accurate and honest info. Please don’t impersonate someone else or create fake accounts.
If you get a password, keep it safe. Don’t share it with anyone. You’re responsible for all activity that happens through your account. If you think someone may have accessed your account without permission, reach out and we’ll help you secure it.
6. Privacy Policy
We believe personal data should be treated with care. Our Privacy Policy outlines what kind of information we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and how we keep it safe. That includes things like your name, email address, or anything else you willingly give us when signing up for our updates or commenting.
We don’t sell your info. We don’t spam you either. For full details on how we handle your data, check out our Privacy Policy page.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Cookies help us understand how folks use our site, which recipes are hits, what people search for, where they get stuck. They make things smoother, like remembering your preferences or keeping you logged in.
You can always adjust your browser settings to control or block cookies if you'd prefer. Just keep in mind, doing so might change how well certain parts of the site work for you.
8. External Links
Occasionally, you might see links to other websites we think you’ll enjoy. Maybe it’s a Japanese pantry store, a favorite chef’s blog, or a tool we love using in our kitchen. We try to link only to sites that align with our values.
However, we don’t control what happens once you leave Yujin Izakaya. If you follow a link and something goes sideways, we can’t take responsibility for what another site does with your info or how their content behaves.
9. Recipe Disclaimer
We test our recipes in our own kitchen, and taste everything before we post. That said, results can vary depending on your ingredients, equipment, and skill level. Please use your own judgment and adjust seasoning or steps if needed.
We can’t guarantee you’ll get the exact same result every time, but we believe part of the fun in cooking is making things your own. Don’t be afraid to improvise!
10. Intellectual Property
Everything on this site is protected by copyright laws. That includes recipes, photos, logos, and layout. Using our content for anything beyond personal, at-home enjoyment? Ask first.
If you run a blog, write for a magazine, or just want to give us a shout-out, we’re flattered! Just remember to give credit where credit is due, and don’t pass off our creations as your own.
11. User-Generated Content
If you post a comment, submit a recipe photo, or share your experience through our site, you’re agreeing that we can show your contribution publicly. We may repost, share, or highlight your feedback or food pics in other parts of the site or on our social platforms.
You still own your words and images. We're not claiming your creation as ours. But by sharing it here, you're giving us permission to include it where it adds flavor to the site experience.
12. Liability Disclaimer
We put a lot of care into keeping everything on our site accurate, helpful, and easy to follow. Still, we can’t guarantee everything will always be flawless. Typos happen. Ingredients vary. Cooking mistakes are part of life.
You use the site at your own risk. We can’t be responsible for burns, cuts, allergic reactions, or ruined dinners. Cook safely, read labels, double-check ingredients, and if you’re not sure about something, consult a pro.
13. Changes to Terms
We might change this page sometimes. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top and make the new version available right here. Keep an eye on it occasionally so you know what’s new.
If you keep using our site after changes are made, that means you agree to the updated terms. If not, you’re free to step away. No hard feelings.
14. Governing Law
These terms follow the laws of Singapore. Any legal matters that arise will be handled in accordance with Singapore’s system. We hope things never get to that point, and we’ll always aim to work things out over tea and tempura first.
15. Contact Us
